The following day, the War Dawgs continued their winning streak with a remarkable 158-98 victory over the Jackson Showboats. This Veteran’s Day game, held at James Clemens High School, was a special tribute to veterans, featuring a performance of the National Anthem by Wesley Palmer.

The team’s offensive prowess was on full display,Phillip aka “Uncle Phil” DesRosier” had his first triple double of the season, scoring 24, grabbing 13 rebounds (led the team) and 10 assists.

Even more amazing, Phil recorded 0 turnovers for the game. Darrion Leslie Sr. led all scorers with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The War Dawgs had many notable performances on Sunday. Taylor Legacy Sr. had a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists, running an efficient point guard position. Responsibilities Legacy Sr. shared with Bob Jones alum Jeff Moss who also chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. Shakey Wigley continued his dominance in the post scoring 21. The Hill twins, Wesley (11 points) and William (12 points, 4-4 from the free throw line) scored in double figures in the same game for the first time ever. The War Dawgs had a total of seven players in double figures.

Coach Alicia DesRosier’s Winning Strategy

Head Coach Alicia DesRosier led the team to these back-to-back victories, marking a significant milestone in her ABA coaching career (3-0). Her strategic approach and focus on team effort were pivotal in these wins. Coach said, ”I thought that we played really well Saturday against a good Nashville Team. We had five players in double figures and it’s nice to be able to score from all angles. Sunday was a great opportunity to get everyone in the game and give everyone a chance to get some game experience. Great all around team effort this weekend”.

Celebrating Shakey Wigley’s Birthday

In a joyful turn of events, Shakey Wigley celebrated his birthday on Sunday. Fans are encouraged to extend their birthday wishes on his Instagram @shakeydawg_17.
